to blue

‘to blue’ was selected for the 25th Anniversary Choreographers’ Showcase, January 2008 at CSPAC. The piece brought Tzveta a Metro DC Dance Award for Emerging Choreographer for 2008. The duet uses video projection on both the cyc and floor as the only source of light. It cuts a trapezoid shape on the floor, which limits the dance space. The projection itself includes flickering images of barcodes and vertical and circular shapes, which subtly define the mood of the piece. The original score is written by Aleksei Stevens.
