Letter (to Ed)

‘Letter (to Ed)' is 11 min solo choreographed and performed by Tzveta Kassabova. The piece explores change, anger, understanding and sorrow, related to the absence of a close friend.

The piece premiered as part of my solo concert at Dance Place, DC June 2009 and has been performed over a hundred times since, nationally and internationally, turning in one of my signature works. In 2017 I was awarded the Maggie Allesee Choreography Award during the annual Michigan Dance Council Showcase Gala Concert for this work. I was invited as a featured soloist at the Women in Dance Leadership Conference 2018, New York and performed Letter(to Ed) at the Female Soloist Concert at the Danspace Project, NYC.
Letter (to Ed) was part of SOLA, an innovative performance project, curated by Andee Scott  and creating an alternative model of touring and featuring solos choreographed by women and for women.

You can watch the original performance of 'Letter (to Ed) at Dance Place, DC here and a 5 minutes excerpt from Judson Church performance here.
