Mixed Use Space
‘Mixed Used Space’ (2010) full evening performance-installation piece created and performed in collaboration with Lillian Cho and Arachne Aerial Arts performed at Dance Place, DC.
The constantly evolving visual installation transforms the environment and space by layers of chalk squiggles, and through multidimensional performance, visual art, and sound. Weaving a tapestry of time and space, we construct an evolving installation that provides a visual timeline for the performance and frames the aerial work.

'By evening’s end, the stripped down space has been transformed in a performative tattoo of body-centered visual art, giving new meaning to the mid-20th century school of action painting/ Cho and Kassabova walk, drop, roll, all the while constantly marking up the stage floor and back wall.'
